"Love yourself; do not wait to be loved."

What has been your journey to becoming a confident woman?

I started my journey to self love and confidence just this year. There were many aspects of myself that I had not embraced or was very fond of but I was afraid of changing, doubting my capability of putting the work in. I prayed to God, took a risk, and went to work. Praises to the most high because I am now in a place where no matter what type of rejection or doubt comes my way, I don't let it knock me off my focus.

What advice do you have for other women?

My advice ... be unapologetic in your confidence. Do not be afraid of change. Let your change be for you and no one else because no matter what you do, some people will never be satisfied.

What are some challenges you face in trying to be confident?

The challenges I face most in my journey of self confidence is my own doubt. I can be my own worst critic and have my days where I feel like I could be so much further in my journey, or what I'm doing isn't enough. I have my days where I compare myself to other queens and allow myself to feel that I'm lacking. This sometimes causes a setback and I have to mentally remind myself of my "why."
